We reailize visiting a church for the first time can be kind of intimidating. Knowing what to expect can help set you at ease. Here is what to expect.
Our Sunday service begins at 10:30 AM
If you arrive anytime from 10:00-10:30 you can enjoy coffee and donuts and get to know some of our great people. Our services generally last from 60-90 minutes.
Dress Casual and Comfortable
Most people, including the pastor, will be wearing jeans. We think church should be more like a family and less like a fashion show.
Our Worship is Upbeat and Expressive
We call our worship style "experiential" because we believe people can actually connect with and experience the presence of God through passionate worship. You will hear great singing. You will see people lifting their hands and expressing the joy of knowing Jesus. Pastor Jim is the primary worship leader and has a burning passion to lead people into the presence of God. At Newsong, there is freedom!
Our Preaching and Teaching is Encouraging and Challenging
The goal for every message we preach is to help build up, encouage, teach, and challenge people to live a higher life in Christ. We vow to never condemn, never judge, and never confuse our personal opinions and personal preferences with the truth of God's Word. We aim to talk and teach things that are practical and relevant to your life.
We pray for one another
In many of our services we take time to pray for one another. It is common for Pastor to ask those with needs to lift their hands and then encourage those surrounding the ones with needs to go to them and pray right then for their needs.
NewsongKids is a great place for kids. All our children's workers are ready to make your kids welcome and help them to have the time of their lives. We have specialized ministry areas for Nursery, Pre-school, and elementary age kids.
Safety is our First Priority
All our workers have been trained and have submitted to a nation-wide criminal background screening.
A Word about Kid's Check-In
In our efforts to keep every child safe, we have a quality check-in system. Each parent will be asked to fill out an info sheet prior to Kid's Church. Parents are welcome to to visit the Kid's area, but we only allow workers to stay through the service. Should your child need you during the service, you will be notified and an usher will assist you. When checking in a child for the first time we encourage you to arrive 15 minutes early to register and get acquainted with our workers. They are there to serve you and answer your questions.
